Lightroom 4.3 final released!

Lightroom 4 just released not long ago, now 4.3... it's too fast. Not really get a good grasp at 4 yet

it is still version 4, only some minor updates, to support latest RAW files for newer cameras and fix some bugs.

this update is free for all the version 4 users.

Just got LR yesterday, thanks for the patch link!

I went to look at Challenger Funan yesterday and saw LR4 selling at 228.. Online download from Adobe seems cheaper at 179 w/o GST, but dunno whether can trust or not.

Yes, you can get from Adobe site, don't buy the box version, just the licence key is good enough, you can always download the latest version (only the same version you paid for).

forge about box, it is useless, no manual inside and you still need to pay for shipment.

Price has slightly lowered. I paid SGD$115 (SGD$123 w/tax) for the upgrade, download version a couple of months ago. Save the environment by getting the download version.

You don't really have to update unless you need the new camera raw support and lens profiles and 4.3 adds retina support to those using it.

You're paying an additional $50 for the box which will end up in the trash if you get from Challenger. It's directly from Adobe, what's there not to trust?

As long as your Internet connection is fast enough, purchasing and, subsequently, downloading straight from Adobe can't be any easier.

the full licence of version 4 lightroom is so much cheaper then the version 3 when I start using it.

you can get lightroom from Adobe site, just download the trial version to try it out, it is fully functional as licence copy but only good for 14 days.
if you like it, just purchase the licence key from Adobe site, you will need a Credit Card to make purchase, sadly they don't accept Paypal. (IIRC, Paypal can't use for software purchasing)

if you just purchase the software, what you paid for is the current version, all the patch files are free under the same version you have, you will be notify for any update if you are a registered user.

if lightroom release a new version, you still able to use the older version you have, or take up the offer of upgrading it to new version, it cost of upgrading is about half price of what you have paid before.

for some people still prefer to purchase the box version, but IMO it is not necessary, you will be paying extra for the packaging box, and there is no instruction manual in it, just a CD and licence key, and after you install lightroom in your computer with the CD and register with Adobbe, probably you will be prompted to download the software with the latest patch immediately. isn't it paying extra and doing extra work unnecessary?

You would download the full version anyway as soon as they release the next minor update.

I got my full boxed retail version at Sim Lim Square for $149 nett. Just ask the software sellers. I think I bought mine at the software shop at Level 4, near Best Price and Fuwell. I remember LR4 is selling at around the same price at several software shops there.
