Created this thread as i see there are none in Clubsnap Panasonic thread.

Got this sweet baby from Amazon at a very good price recently!

i believe there are more of us out there so let's have some discussion within here?

Just took this babe out for some test shot. The sharpness and pic quality is quite good considering it as a compact camera.

The only issue i had with this cam is the auto-white balance. The temperature of the photo tends to be "cooler" and the tint will be on the greener side, but these can be solved with some post processing.

Here's my take:

any knows the latest price for this cam?

Start using this little and amazing camera. It has a lot of similar features as compare to its big brother GX1 which I own.

does anyone know what is the difference between iISO and Auto ISO?

From manual:

Auto ISO Sensitivity is automatically set in a range up to 1600 (or what ever max limit you set) depending on the brightness of a subject.

iISO Sensitivity is automatically set in a range up to 1600 (or what ever max limit you set) depending on the movement and brightness of a subject.

A quick tests seems iISO will bump up more ISO to ensure shake free shot, though it doesn't show you the ISO it's taking even on AF confirmation, only until shot is taken, perhaps doesn't want you to know how intelligent it is:) Auto will show you.

On my gf5 intelligent auto iso is much better than just auto iso. It will try not to bump up too much of iso considering your hand movement n your subject. I achieve better result with it rather than auto iso.

Juz got the LX7 for $598 cash..comes with some free gifts..

the AF is spot on. Amazingly good for street photography.

i shot this by just aiming from hip and press the shutter button

and this by just aiming at the commotion without really looking at the lcd. They are moving fast, excited over the caught fish. LOL

Is the min aperture of the LX7 is F8.0? In some bright light condition, I wish to stop down further but not possible.

There's a 3 stop nd function, did you use it? Check your iso as well? Can go down to iso 80.

Yah, I was trying to blur the water. But at f8, iso80 and ND filter button push, still too bright. That is why thinking whether is it f8 is the smallest aperture.
