it's actually a video of a Chinese mainland road planning... ah well.
The best laid plans
Of mice and men

Thank goodness I am a cat.

Narita International Airport (RJAA) takes the takes the cake

Several farms right smack in the middle where Runway 16L / 34R (nearest to Terminal 2) was supposed to be if it was ever constructed or extended to its complete length of 4,000 metres (currently at 2,500 metres), now completely surrounded on all sides by numerous paved taxiways and guard towers around the perimeter to shoot the farmers from if they dare trespass.

Was at JAL Narita Aircraft Maintenance Co. last year when what seems like every single police personnel from Chiba Prefecture raided the farms just to demolish a single structure.

Well, the Japs got the job done didn't they? At least jets wouldn't have to sway to avoid a farm house.....

It is heavily congesting the already saturated air traffic in the skies above resulting in hundreds of millions of dollars in losses annually for the authorities due to strict limitations imposed, it took us almost an hour non-stop IIRC to taxi from the JAL hangers to RWY 34R for a test flight via what is supposed to be the third undeveloped crosswind runway and while passing by the farms, a certain executive remarked to me how he wish for an airliner to just crash into them, ridding the eyesore once and for all.

They really, really hate those "squatters".

This shows PRC still respects human rights. They wait it out.

In so called civilized countries what do you think would have happened to the old farmer?

If it was Italy, the mafia gangs may have murdered old farmer.

See the videos of Israeli bulldozers tear down the houses of Palestinians against their wishes.

In Japan the old farmer would have strangely disappeared after a visit by Yakuza.

This is not a human rights issue. Its how stupid bureaucrats can be........

They are not stupid.. they want to show who is the boss

The guy is old. Time is not on his side.
PRC will not collapse if one miserable road is not functioning.
Just let time run its course.
When he dies, it is all over.

He wants his pot of gold and he wants to hold the country hostage.
The PRC authorities do not want to give in because there will be hundreds like him watching the outcome.
It will affect future development.

Singapore has a compulsory land acquisition law. Otherwise many things could not be built when greedy occupants demand high compensation.

This is one of the many smaller farms (populated by radical extremists aligned to the political left-wing movement) scattered around Narita International Airport (RJAA) that are not situated right before the displaced threshold of Runway (RWY) 34R, notice the curvature of Taxiway (TWY) Charlie around it between TWY Sierra 7 and Sierra 8. If memory serves me right, the farm between TWY Sierra 4 & Sierra 5 is the one with the clock face.

TWY Charlie was supposed to be the third planned crosswind RWY at NRTT but obviously you can’t have a runway that twist and turn.

Areas occupied by radical extremists aligned to the political left-wing movement are shaded in red. They have plotted many times to bomb the aerodrome and so far, numerous have died stopping them thus the strict security at NRTT.

Good outcome. PRC is not so bad. They respect the farmer. They only demolish after successfully negotiating an agreement.

Compare with this. (no compensation to home owners and forced demolition accompanied by armed troops).
See the little girl crying at the destruction of her home (about 0.42 into the video)
