I am curious what goes on in the prison

I was eating at Jalan Besar hawker and saw a prison van pulled up beside a health clinic for treating sexual disease. 2 inmates chained and dressed in Barney purple overall with the word prisoner printed across the back emerged from the van, handcuffed and legs chained. They were led into the clinic. I assumed they are hardcore criminals who are infected with some diseases there to seek treatment.

Then I remembered scenes from The police academy where new inmates have to pick up soap. 监狱风云where there are gangs who bully the solo or weaker ones. So for those who are serving prison sentences, are they being put into a more hostile environment. And does it mean that all inmates are sodomised. Are our prison the same as what are shown on screen?

You go in find out for us. :D

There was some guy who got into Changi chalet for CBT and wrote a blog about his experiences. According to him the only problem was boredom, not getting your ass poked.

Maybe they got the disease before they got jailed. Thus the prison has a duty to facilitate treatment.

You can try watching a few episodes of National Geographic Channel's (NGC's) Lockdown / America's Hardest Prisons on YouTube.

Also Locked Up Abroad / Banged Up Abroad. They have several episodes on extremly notorious prisons such as Thailand's Bang Kwang Central Prison which makes Changi Prison seems like a tropical island paradise resort.

It's interesting how they dramatized d prison life. LOL.

You can always go in to try it first-hand. :bsmilie:

I was in Changi Jail for 12 months once.

It was nothing exciting like in the movies.

Prison life was rather sedate and monotonous.

Spent a lot of time reading in the cell.

I hid a spoon and started to dig a hole underneath the bed to escape. I made a one inch hole eventually. But when I look through it I realized I was on the 8th floor of the building.

I dropped the spoon with a message tied to it to the cell below me:

"Don't dig. Save your energy to read a good book.

Get in touch with me when you're out of jail.

I'll be in Kopitiam."

:)

Sorry to hear about it. So for those with family, there is no private "honey" sessions and for singles, no arrangement to keep one sane? So there are always long queue at the toilet?

also in army when you drop your soap dont bend down and pick it up...

SAF also getting so jiatlat! During my time all macho one. Never take aim at F&N.
