If you want culture :
Sentul aka Little India
Petaling Street aka Chinatown
The rest of KL....wide mixture of all cultures

Have you planned your accommodation, or are you going to roam around all night?

I think Petaling Street (Chinatown) might be a good place to visit, and it should be open till relatively later. Not quite sure what else you can do at night or in the wee mornings... maybe visit a wet market? Or Central Market?

KL towers is one of the highest twin tower in the world. You can spend a day there. Its a famous place and a source of enjoyment because of national museum, bird parks, garden and zoo etc.

eh???
KL tower is a single tower. You confused it with the Petronas Twin Towers.
Both are boring though. And the National Museum, KL Bird Park and the National Zoo are nowhere near either towers.

Just enjoy the food. Culture-wise pretty much the same as in SG.
Oh and be careful with your gear.

Ya will have a hotel, but still want to maximise my stay there... albeit super short... hahhaha

Batu Caves temple? But will be super-packed on Deepavali.
KLCC?
Chow Kit - might be too dangerous (red light/druggie district). Almost got mugged here years back.
Not sure if old Pudu Prison with its mural is still around.

Petaling Street - for the food and street photography.
The famous "Kun Kei" wantan mee (wonder if the 100+ year old granny is still there).
No-signboard Hakka mee stall.
But Singaporeans may find the conditions not so hygienic. :bsmilie:

Shopping wise - can't beat SG.

The problem with KL is the lack of reliable public transportation. If you drive it's OK, else it's a big hassle getting around. KL taxis are not exactly honest ppl.

That's Batu Caves............. wow , its very far out of KL :bsmilie:
You need a couple of hours getting there from the heart of KL IMO there's no other attractions near-by

The rail system has a stop just outside, Batu Caves stop I think. Probably won't need 'hours' unless its super packed :p

Factor in the one hour journey from airport to the city by bus. The bus stop at KL Sentral, from there a lot of transport to go where you want, KTM, LRT, Monorail and Cab (buy cab coupon from the counter so won't get chop).

Night time can stay around Petaling Street or Bukit Bintang area, can use monorail from KL Sentral.

Morning maybe KLCC? Can use LRT, but quite boring there, shoot a bit then time to go airport already.

Don't like the KTM, break down quite often and not on time.
