First half was good bond, 2nd half after identity of baddie got known was too inane. yah bond got it back together to be the natural born killing machine. i am not sure the reboot will be pleasant, there proto reboot was there new Q, money penny appears, new faces galore

I just saw the trailer. looks interesting (quite exciting!)

But I have always preferred Jason Bourne to James Bond... Bourne is more realistic, too. A thinking cat's movie.

Yeah, it was the Bourne franchise that kinda forced Bond's producers to change course.

Personally, I think Bond is stuck in kind of a limbo right now -- if I want no-nonsense grittiness, Bourne is better. But the things that made the Bond movies so appealing for so long WAS their escapist nature, which is being sacrificed for the more Bourne-like Bond.

James Bond never had to do gritty hand to hand for longer than 30 seconds , until Jason Bourne showed up.

All Bond ever had to do was press a few buttons on his watch while sipping his "shaken not stirred", to tranquilize his opponents. Or he could seduce the 'enemy-woman' ... right-ho.

Jason Bourne drove a battered standard Mini through the streets of France to evade police, while Bond sits in a nice smart-phone controlled BMW... meow meow meow.

of course it helps that Bond is much more handsome and suave. ahahaha

Not great because? My dad was an old Sean Connery fan. I was thinking of bringing him to catch Skyfall, but was wondering if it has progressed way beyond what the old Bond feels like.
