if u have plans to go FX, i suggest 28mm f/1.8g N
else, 35mm f/1.8g dx is good on d7k.
of course it had also been proven the 35mm dx can also produce good IQ on DX.(do a search on the forum)
Just sharing my experience for usage on my trip right now in HK has cover 3 days and I'll only needed the 28mm f/1.8G to be accompany my D600 at all.
I felts it lens really good enough for closeups or low light and lightweight
One more I am never regret for shooting fews thousand shots in the lens.
