Hey there... I need advice from you guys..

I buying a 2nd body and i dont noe which to buy. I dont have high budget but there is 2 bodys i'm looking at.

Nikon D90 or Nikon D300.

Which is a better body as i alrdy hv Nikon D5k.

Hope there will be good advice.

Here's my advice:

1. Title your threads correctly.
2. Read the many many previous "D90 or D300" threads.
3. Read the review for both on DPReview.com so you can compare image quality side by side too.

Just my opinion. Go for the D300s or D300 if you dont mind the weight, the extra button is useful for fast changes instead of going into menue, as for D90 you wont have much upgrade from D5000. You try to hold both body to feel the different, IQ both D90/300 are about the same but come to focus drive, view finder and handling button you got to try whether which you prefer. Asking around and reading the spec is just advice, hold the cam in hand, get the feel then. BTW both price different is not too far away.

TS, you never say what you expect in your second body, how to you expect anyone of us to advise accordingly. and have you actually touch any of these two cameras, if yes, which one feels better in your hand... take special note of the ergonomic (grip design, weigh, position of the wheels and dials, etc).

Next, do you need to take video with your camera... if yes, then no choice... only the D90 (among the two) give you the capability.

Also do you need that incredible AF system of the D300 (which have 51 points AF)? If yes, then no choice... only D300 has that.

Finally do you need weather seals? If yes, then no choice only D300.

So my point is, you have to list down your own priority first, then look for the camera that suits you most.

get another d5k and buy a new lens for yourself

So given a choice between D90 and D300 (assuming you have the budget since you already put it in as options), of course it'll be D300!

Hi, from my highly recommended on D7k.
Once you grab it and never regret in future usage.

D90 the overall is good, but outdated.
D300 is good, but heavy and lack ISO, but the body built very solid.

Why I would recommend on D7k?

From my point of D7k has combine all feature & video with 2 Slot SD card and higher Max 6400 ISO. Also body built with alloy on top & rear.
Once you have the D7k and can be more long run.

I used to use the D90 for event coverage and moved to a D700 (similar to the D300 in terms of controls) -- there's a big difference in way you control important settings that might take some getting used to, though you might love the direct controls of the D300 after a while.
AF mode, AF point selection, metering pattern -- some of the settings that D300 has direct switches on the body for. With the D90 (and the D7000 & D5000) you'll need to press a button & turn a dial (or go into a menu) for these. Your preference really, and dependent on how you shoot. I'd think you'd be more comfortable with the D90 or D7000 for a start.
The D90 / D7000 do give you a bit more direct control than the D5000 (2 dials for a start), and are lighter than the D300. Being a newer model, the D7000 does perform very well (speed, high ISO, 30+ AF pts etc). And one thing I really like is the 2 card slots (AFAIK only the pro bodies, D7000 & D300s have this, the D300 does not) -- anyone who has experienced card trouble can appreciate having an immediate backup!
You may want to rent to try them out in actual use.

On a serious note, if you want to a 2nd DX body, get a D7000. If you want a FX body, get a used D700. Both are at rock bottom prices recently.

There are quite a few renting Nikon gear -- can't really give you recommendation, but if you do a search, you should be able to find previous threads discussing Nikon rental

Then take one 7000 first. This will be best value for money for those with low budget yet taking events.

If just for leisure, 5100 is good enough

You have to see what and why you need 2 bodies for? So as to make a better decision. For professionals it is quite straight forward, some type of work requires it, but it is mainly for the purposes of backup, and 2 or 3 bodies are common.

For a hobby, not many genres require you to swing 2 bodies at one go. Camera bodies get outdated the fastest and the value depreciate fast. Not good sense to tie your money to that. The money should be better spend on lenses or just one good body.
