Working Title: Dead Leaf in the Rain

Hello all,

Below is my submission for critique.

1. in what area is critique to be sought?
Composition, exposure.

2. what one hopes to achieve with the piece of work?
That life (rain) and death (leaf) co-exists.

3. under what circumstance is the picture taken? (physical conditions/emotions)
Afternoon, heavy-medium rain.

4. what the critique seeker personally thinks of the picture
I think the picture is well exposed with the right focus and shutter speed. However, it does look a little 'noisy' due to the downpour.

Agreed. But the composition could be better. The crater at the right side diverts from the leaf. Also the splash underneath of the leaf, perhaps a drop falling on the side of the leaf, diverts.
Perhaps the author has taken more shots.

Interesting are the clear raindrops with the leaf in the background. The theme (life/death) doesn't fit then.
A good picture does not need a theme.
And to underly a theme (like in advertising) is not a question of snapshot moment.

I have darken the corners, sharpen some rain drops and replace the big splash on the right.
