I have few hundred dollars of coins, all 1 dollar coins and 50 cents coins. If I bring it to a bank to change for notes, will they do it? Will they charge me a fee? How about money changer?

If you have DBS/POSB, you can dump your coins in their coin machines.

AMK has one. I know most DBS branches have one too

You will be charge a admin fee for coin banking unless the account is a children account.

deposit into a child bank account,

bring it to hawker centers or coffee shops ask any hawkers want to change for you.

Then I think I will try the provision shops then.

I bought newspaper with 5 cents coins, provision shop lady already not happy. Look down on 5 cents next day I go with 1 cents version.

BTW I wonder how much is the admin fee.

Thanx, my house there have.

There is no mention of admin fee also.

So assuming i have $500 worth all 50 cents coins, equals to 1000 piece, at the rate of $0.0075 charge per piece, it is $7.50, if all $1 coins, it is $3.75, of half half, it is $5.63.

I think can.
