Melacca 3D2N

Would be going down to Melacca for 3D2N with a friend and would like to know where are the must go places for photo taking, actually would be more of a 2D2N thing as will reach Malacca in the night. Anyway will be there from Aug 10 - 12. Anyone going at the same time can arrange to do shoots together (if schedule permits!)

A must place to me is only Jonker Area. They're full of heritages not to mentioned awesome street shots. If you're more history building, there's Stadehuys and the Afarmosa (very crowded)...

ANother one is the Hang Li Po Well (not so attractive to me) and the Portuguese Village (mainly for food).

But their sunset/sunrise is nice though.

A visit to the St Paul's Church up the hill should not be missed. Nice architectural ruins and the statue of St Francis Xavier.

If you go up the hill from the side road towards Makhota Parade after Christ Church, you will pass by an airplane, a replica palace with a large garden in front, a well kept Cadillac used by royalty, and further up, a fort with memorial. Coming down, you will end up at the front of Christ Church.

At the far end of Jonker Walk, on the 2nd level, there is a Christian missionary museum which has artefacts and preserved docs of pioneer missionaries to Melaka in the early settlement years.

Jonker walk with old buildings very nice to shoot during day light ( with good lighting), during sunset and night. All give produce very good result for photo with different mood.

Malacca is a nice place to explore. Lots of architecture buildings to shoot. Fortunately the old city of Malacca is not big, so should be able to explore all on foot. Jonker Walk is definitely one of the must visit place. The others will be around Christ Church and up the hill beside it. Also there is a Maritime musuem (very cheap entrance fee, which includes a few other maritime related musuems), which has a replica of a Portuguese (I think...?) galleon, and across the road, another musuem which has a small modern warship on display.

Yap, nice cake, once you having it and next time go to malacca again, definitely you will go down again
