it's not photoshop. it has RAW conversion tools/basic editing tools... but that's just about it

Yes, you would need to buy the photoshop program (don't ask us how much, just go to the shop and ask them). There are also other programs that are pretty good... one of them being GIMP which can be downloaded legally from the net for free (just google GIMP and you should find the link to the program).
