What ecological footprint?
What carbon foot print?
What global warming?

We HAVE TO import food because we cannot grow enough to feed ourselves. That is a fact.
Global warming is not something little Singapore can do much to impact either positively or negatively. We are simply too small to significantly impact this.

Get our priorities right.
Sufficiency of clean potable water.
Sufficiency of food.
Air pollution.

who told you that you wont be lonely if you got kids? this happened to my relative, their kids said that in front of them :

" when you re old, dont expect me to take care of you".

the parents were so heartbroken....

i think you heard of similar incidents everywhere...kids threw parents out of the house, kids dont take care of their parents..etc...

I only says about 'importing' which is true n never mention abt talent. If not, explain to me why singapore having population of over 5m when birth rates are low? If we still have 3m (same amt as nz cows, ha ha!), our import rate will be lower n so, we wouldnt be contributing so much waste. It's just like asking people from other countries to dump their waste into yours. We contribute so high pollution n in the end, we suffers back.

I still will take care of my mum n btw, i dont feels lonely now even i am single n staying alone. Its up to you whether can plan for yourself or not when you are old. Dont expect much from your kids, no $ no talk applies to a lot. So, if a parent got no $ for the kids to 'look' after them, they will still ended up some where.

10 yrs ago, wkend train got seats during morning rides. This morning, almost feels like wkday, so pack, no diff. Where did the extra cames from? Outer space?
