"God's Particle" Audio Frequency Simulated

And yes! It will take approximately another 2 x 10^-15 milliseconds for the next bored composer to compose a viable piece of music called "The Boson"...

So this is what the Global Blackout from Flash Forward would've sounded like...

sounds liek.... i udnno. something from those metal wind chimes

I think my mum is calling me........................................................

European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) to hold news conference next month at the International Conference on High Energy Physics (ICHEP) in Melbourne, Australia from the 4th of July 2012 to 11th of July 2012 regarding latest findings on the Higgs boson particle (alternative source).

"Hi guy, after spending several billion dollars into years of research on theoretical particle physics‎. We are please to announce that there is no such thing as a Higgs boson."

"Oh, wait. One of the cable is lose again." :bsmilie:

I'll be really amused if a theoretical physicist actually hangs out in this forum. :) just saying.

I know a PhD holder in physics who became a photographer in this forum..

Read somewhere in the phys.org forum that there is now sufficient empirical data amounting to a statistically significant four sigma signal from both separate A Toroidal LHC Apparatus (ATLAS) experiment and Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) experiment at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), just short of the five sigma signal (0.000028% probability of it happening by chance) necessary to substantiate the existence of the Higgs boson particle!

We will just have to wait and see.

Goes to show that the finances in euro is still not as bleak as it appeared.
How much to run an experiment around the LHC again?

Funding from EU members pegged to their GDP.

Latest budget released for the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) is 913.680715 million dollars in euro (€913,680,715) or 1.4654673 billion dollars in SGD (S$1,465,467,300) over a 5 years period from 2012 to 2016 and we are not even going into the budget for the The European Space Agency (ESA) which is a lot more.
