Here to organize JBOG Aug’2012 : Endau Rompin (Peta), Johor National Park

Personally I visited this park 3 years ago , and love the nature there. Read here about Endau Rompin and you may search bing.com for images to have some idea of what the park could offer.

This is a non-profit outing, est cost will be announced via email or drop me PM. Those who came to JBOG before, would know my style is to keep the cost affordable , without sacrifice much on quality to have fun/good food. Said that, Endau Rompin is a very native national park (rural) due to the accessibility, please keep the comfort expectation to be low.

* JBOG (JB outing group) is a jalan/makan/shot around outing that was started Sep2011 to bring small group of CS members to JB for day, and eventually emerged to a regular monthly outing. We’ve been to many parts of JB, Johor and also overseas trip. The participants are a good mix of like-minded gentleman and ladies with a passion for NOT ONLY photography but also to make friends, to have fun and most importantly to have good food.

Please take a minute to read the terms and conditions before you like to register

- Register only for yourself. No girlfriends/boyfriends, husbands/wives , children/relative and your village of friends tagging along for a holiday
- JBOG 1st timer : minimum 3 months history at Clubsnap and/or with minimum 50 counts
- JBOG oldbird : Good contribution from previous outing
- Not 1st come 1st serve basis ; ideally to have 50/50 newcomer and oldbird
- No halfway join or halfway have to go back home
- Be prepared to have some physically challenging trekking
- Those have backache advised not to join, the 2 hour 4WD drive into the park would kill you
- Good sense of humor and a team member, spirit of give and take
- Drivers who are willing to take up 3 passengers are exempted from the above rule

I would lead a total of 12persons max, in 3 cars. Currently we have 2 drivers, who would drive from JB to Kahang. Available slots are 6 for now. For itinerary and activities, you may post your question in the thread. For price enquiry, drop me PM. If interested to join, PM me your name, contact, email address to register.

Calling for 1 more driver, who could offer to take 3 passengers so to 3 more slots be made available.

looks like a good place to shoot star trails at night.

yeah..and you hope elephant will not come and step your camera setup to a piece of paper-metal.

so serious? o_O

Endao rompin is very raw, only few visitors per year if you compare to Taman Negara. Animal activities are quite busy.
Last time I was there, we seen freshly baked elephant droppings from overnight that was less than 1km away from the chalet. these are raw elephant, not those u see in Singapore Zoo.

We have a lady in the group, looking for another lady to be her room partner.

The dark sky there is at least magnitude 6. If the weather is clear, not only many many stars but the Milky Way as well. My favourite regular stargazing spot is somewhere near this park. :)

Great Place! Good Selection! Enjoy the crystal clear water, and fantastic macros available! Bring extra shoes though...don't be like me, ended up losing my slippers and shoes and have to trek barefooted. ;p

when had your slippers gone ? the elephant took it away ? LOL

last time I was there, I was only in flipflop...personally I trek better in flipflop than trekking shot. and I could easily took out when I jump into water. mind you all, there are lots of parts that we had to walk across the river. and frequently under attacked by swamp of leech....be prepared..
