How much does an average professional photog earns every month? I guess this is what many are uncertain and don't dare to venture into the business. Any rough gauge or website that have this statistic locally?

It varies really.

But most importantly, how much do u want to be paid and trying to find out ways to do so is more important.

The sky is the limit.

But having excuses really indeed stop people from moving to the right direction.

I hate going out of my comfort zone but I try to be outside my comfort zone more often.

We all make excuses and often blame others for own failure. In business, your survival largely depends on what u do and not external issues.

Hart

Anyone if has to ask these questions once & come out with a 'No' is better keep yourself out of this trade.

I am not the type that share my business experience or technical know-how with just anyone with a clueless attitude, no not even 0.01%

Then why make this post to begin with? To share that you are the type who doesn't share?:dunno:

Just wondering if excuse #1 is really an excuse. Thought it was quite important to be good in the craft before asking to be paid for it.

Sorry..but your question ...really kind of weird.
Since its pay per assignment etc etc (not the usual monthly salary kind from most of the jobs out there) It can varies every month.
If you want a rough gauge..then it could be 0 - 1000000.

I think he must be thinking the average income... meaning, take the whole year and divide by 12.

I would think, if you make 2000-3000 nett profit a month would be a good start for a young single? Say between $24000-$36000 yearly income.

If you have family and children, I would think somewhere between $3500-$4500 would be nice...

Of course, this nett profit means you have minus the cost and it is not the monthly revenue.

It is not how much you earn each month that you should question, it should be how to make that every month is more appropriate question.

Hart

Your post with my quote is equate to Green Peace making an electronic message , and then got accused of doing something contradictory because millions of electronic gadgets are switched on to read their message, thus increasing the carbon foot print.

There is always a first post to voice opinion, actually wanted to stop there but I have to make my stand here with another post. Agree or not, here is my final post to this thread.

Thanks for reading.

Actually one word sums it up------ FEAR

I have seen some start up photographers concern about gear isn't good enough. Don't blame the gear fully...

U can shoot a full wedding with just a 24mm and 50mm, its nothing difficult, just that you need the confidence and know what to shoot.

Knowing what to shoot is from experience .. so more than often, the more pro and experience photographer only use 2 or 3 prime len for the whole day.
