panasonic gh2

D5k if u want Te vari angle LCD for videoing. But manual focus for video. Considered the d5.1k?

D7000 ?

for price vs quality, you may want to get D5100 which is only $999 (or below) and can pay by 0% instalments.

D5000 & D3100 sensors are 1 grade lower than D5100, and that makes a difference.
D5100 has a fully articulated flip screen.

Why recommend this?

Got quite alot video controls i suppose and it is lightweight.

You will understand if you are in the video industry...

One of the best video recorders around in terms of IQ... besting even some of the newest and best DSLRs in video mode.

Which is why the GH2, after so long, it is still very high in demand.

GH2 isn't exactly cheap man, compared to a D5100... if you even can find a completely NEW piece actually...

Even a used piece on costs more than a used D5100...

wah... maybe I've been looking at RRP too much. Total noob when it comes to Pana... Where you got your set anyway?

What lens did your kit come with? 14-42 or 14-140? The latter being the more exp set...

In that case, worth getting the GH2 just for video liao!
