enough of cte,jam end up paying higher ERP!!

Heres from a secondary school kid's point of view...

i think that COE should be remodeled such that the first car of a person (if unmarried) or of a couple should be relatively low so that every singapore family can have a chance at owning a motor vehicle, should they want to own a second car, they should have to pay premiums of sky rocket amount because that would be a luxury more than a need already

then build taller units with mini 2 storey in it.

Then it will be surely be more expensive than existing exorbitant small floor area units. More will write to MP and complain again :bsmilie:

extend the loan to another 30 years, get off springs to carry on the loan.

Whats stopping people from buying cheap and immediately selling off for turnover ?

At Robinson Road just now, in middle lane, being flank by a Panerama at the front, X90 on my left, E350 on my right and GTR at by back....all SK plate....made my Punny Japanese car so humbled....

On serious note.....the car community is also a direct reflection of our booming economic....during the down time.....Coe was at all time low for a good 2-3 years....road was so comfortable but no many dare to commit a car....same for a house? Now, people get good pay, good biz, sentiment is at all time high....high price car....high price house....even high price taxi... still people fight to get one .... so bo pian....its market force.....if u cant eat them....have to join them :p

now young people enjoy the credit, easy loan, high cost life style, everything must show off, you see when crisis how they suffer..... they will die more ugly then the last time crisis people...

then that should be covered in the policy too such that when you turnoever the person too is bound to these laws and that COE when transfered is void if thats how it works idk haha... and the new owner if already has an existing car would too have to pay premiums in increments to the amount of cars he has owned and the period that he had owned them... something like means testing

well.. economy is already crashing but everyone is still BBBing

ERP gantry will be history soon once they
Implement "invisible" gantry, effectively convert all roads into a big car park. U are charge for the time you spend within an area. Different area with different rate.
So, we all become taxi driver in a way, except we drive the car ourselves.

Sound scary ? It is coming soon...

So if unmarried better buy car first, can enjoy owning two cars without the penalty
New requirement for partner, must own car :)

Its a big balance between Wants & Needs... alot of us 'wants' a car... but we don't really 'need' one. Much like I want a EOS 1Dx.... but I don't need one. :bsmilie:

We are a very small nation... smaller than most cities around the world. There is no way we could keep making roads and adding cars into the system. Yes... the MRT is aging and failing... the Buses are packed. But if you could survive for so many years in your teenage till working adult life... you could survive some more.

Buy a Car or Bike if you want too... but don't go and Complain about COE, ERP, Road Tax, Limited Parking Space and Jams, when you very well should have known, how $$$$ it is to own a Car in S'pore. The 'near' $100K COE could have been used for down payment of a HDB unit... If you already have a House.... then think of the money you could have put aside for yourself or your children.

But if you STILL want a Car... then Buy one and don't complain...

Yes.... and when you want to get married... go complaint to your MP because you can't afford any HDB unit....

Yes... much like Greek government right... give and give until bankruptcy. Then people Vote in a new government, thinking that they no longer have to service their debt. If Democracy meant taking as much as we want without a care... S'porean really deserved to live in the state we are in... :thumbsd:
