Never have.

By the looks of it, it will be a very heavy lens, NEXT!

Maybe must have according to Ken Rockwell

if i'm a dx shooter i won't rule it out, especially if it can outperform the 18-270.

Sigh, I bought my 55-300mm not that long ago and now this comes out?!

Actually, me too :(

But this new lens is considerably bulkier and heavier - assuming the rumours are correct.

True. More flexible having 2 lenses than one superzoom. I can choose to carry just 1 lens and it's a lot lighter this way.

Well bros, I'd say there're pros:thumbsup: & cons:thumbsd:...!!

1) Yes, agreed that 2 separate lenses - pros is one can choose to carry just 1 lens and it's a lot lighter this way when using/holding-on...AND the cons =there're times where changing a lens doesn't deem fit - too windy+dusty_surrounding, some sport events, wedding-day=might miss certain great-photo-opportunity and don't say NO too soon...yah...haha...!!!!!

2) Yes, if the "Rumuors" is "Accurate", then, rather 'got' weight and using 77mm-filter if I didn't misread the article...!!!!!

3) Me, hmmm...will only buy if, it can out-perform the AF-18-270-PZD and at a very Reasonable$$$Price..., or else...haha...not gonna even be on my item-list...ya...!!!!!!

Cheers to all...!!!!!

Impressive, but I believe it won't be cheap especially new. I'll still maintain with my 18-270pzd
