Is it normal for the focus ring to not move while i'm shooting in AF?

For this lens, if it move, then u need to bring down to NSC liao. It has manual focus overwrite. Hence the ring should not move at all when it first achieve focus, then u can overwrite by turning the focus wheel.

thanks for the advice!

AF modes on the 18-105 is A and M only... there is no M/A. But according to most review sites, even in A, you can just grab the AF ring at any time and manual focus.
