How do wedding photographer transfer photos to their pc?

Hi,

Recently, I been to my friend's wedding. Saw the wedding photographer keep on taking photos of the wedding and display the latest photos on the projector at the wedding dinner. They also print out small photo cards to pass to those persons that are in the photo.

May I know how do they do this when they dun have time to transfer all the photos to the pc?

Quite interesting to me.

Thanks for the information. Just another problem is that they are not using canon DSLRs camera. They are using nikon camera.

should have flu card or eyefi card if wirelessly.

And there are a lot of work behind the scenes. Just that you don't see it.

The photocards is called instant printing, btw.

its simple engineering, and programming.
I have my own setup for that too.

But the iPad and iPhone are VERY slow to write the files... Plus, why on earth would you want to do that???

Take in RAW + Normal Jpeg , the transfer would be fast enough then .
And do not use scatter shot method lah ...

Have you tried the eye-fi card Direct Mode ?
It is fast enough for me IMO , its like loading a picture when you surf the web speed
And yes , I have tried the Direct Mode personally


As in the "point" perhaps can check if it is sharp enough ? I believe it is better to check if the photo taken is sharp using the iPad ?

Because?

You have a zoom-in function for the DSLR LCD, I don't see how having an iPad helps check for sharpness better. More fun to double tap to zoom in? :dunno:

ppl usually use the eyefi to ipad for on the go tethering.

use to be with laptops and cable, but with this set up it's a more portable solution to show the clients on location.

dunno what the rest use it for.
