Hi all, im hoping the seniors can help me wif suggestions. Im using a sirui t005 tripod wof c10 ballhead.
There is no bubble level on the tripod. Is there any bubble level add ons i can buy to place on my tripod or the only alternative is to get the hotshoe types? Tia

Based on my experience, placing the spirit bubble level gauge on the hot shoe gives the most "accurate" leveling possible. So, buy a hot shoe mounted spirit level gauge for the camera. Alternatively, you may consider swapping the C10 ball head for other ball heads with level gauge.

You can use this kinds of bubble levels.

I feel that hotshoe bubble are more useful than tripod or ballhead bubbles. Reason because you want to know at the end of adjustments, is your camera leveled? Your tripod & ballhead need not be leveled as you may have adjusted the legs or twist your ballhead to fit different terrain, but your camera should be leveled (if you want it to be of cos).

I think hotshoe bubble is more important as well. I'll look around for sony mount, if not my trusty yongnuo adaptor comes useful..

...hotshoe bubble .... I'll look around for sony mount, ....

Try the Benro tripod outlet at Coleman Street. They sell hot shoe spirit level gauge suited for Sony's camera hot shoe.

You've got to understand that a leveller is only as good as the spot you stick it on. It has to sit on a completely flat surface to work properly. Are you convinced that you can find an absolutely flat spot on your tripod to stick it. If not, its as good as useless. You'll never get a squared setup.

If the leveller's on the tripod, that means you have to painstakingly adjust the legs to level your setup. After that, you've got adjust your tripod head so its squared as well. Why do the same work twice? Get a hotshoe mounted leveller and you only have to adjust the tripod head and that's it. You're done.

yes, agree with Kit and all, get the hotshoe spirit bebble level, it is so cheap and convenient, you can put one each at all your camera bags.

unless you are shooting panoramic, you will need a leveling base for the tripod head for the camera to rotate.

I shoot landscapes and I use the spirit bubble level all the time.

However, if you are using Canon camera and most spirit bubble when put on the hotshoe will disable your inbuilt flash.
