Good morning fellow Cser, would like to ask any recommendation filters for UWA lens, canon efs 10-22mm. I know beside those square filters eg: Lee, hitech I would get in the near future, now prepare for cny kinda poor lol. I read from filters guide that CPL is a big no no for uwa. So for the moment I would like to have something that can make the grass looks greener, sky look blue, something like a Circular polarizer since its not recommend for uwa, any decent screw in type to recommend me? I wanna take landscape of mountains with lots of green green tree, haha. Pardon if my question sound silly:bsmilie: Your input will be greatly appreciated!

filters are not magic weapons
yes CPL often (but not always) has issues with uneven polarization at the really wide angles.

Lighting, composition, post-processing, etc... these all play a part as well.

There are general rules and guidelines - and there are your very specific situations. Get the CPL (obvious that's what you would need) and use it carefully, bearing in mind what was said about uneven polarization. In addition, some post-processing will help as well (there is some software that comes with your camera).
Do read up about how the filter works - and when it does not work. As mentioned, it's not a magic wand, it's a tool to manage light.

I don't expect magic but just wanna get more color, contrast out of it. A thin CPL filter would do the job right?

Slim CPL are better. But more costly.

You can try playing around with the setting in your camera..or is there any pre-set creative style that allows sky to be more blue n green to be more green..(landscape mode) If not PP can help alittle too. Good management of exposure comes first.

A thin CPL would alleviate issues with vignetting at the corners when using with ultra-wide angle lenses, but does hardly anything to solve the situation of uneven polarization.
stronger colours and contrast has to do with lighting conditions as well, eg. misty/cloudy vs strong direct sunlight vs 'golden hour', etc.
Sometimes some post-processing to improve contrast + saturation might be all that you need.

I'm on the same boat. I just purchased 10-22mm and looking forward to get Lee filters soon. I am still holding my money until it's enough to buy it. I currently have a cokin GND square filter. This allows me to expose correctly the sky without under exposing the foreground, and the result will be a realistic blue sky. The thing I don't like with the cokin filter is the color cast that's why I'm saving money to get lee filters soon. So I would recommend to save your money first and buy directly what you really want.. Don't buy cheap stuffs then later sell it because you can't live with the result it produces(it's more expensive in that way).
As for the "super" green grass and rich color sceneries, it's hard to achieve it if the scene is not really like that even you use filters unless you PP.
