Hi guys,

I'm using a Canon 550D. Am wondering if its possible to run the camera using the household power mains?

I've searched the box for such an adaptor and the camera for such a port for power but had no such luck.

Tried googling too but the results didn't seem to be useful. Any insight, please?

you need to use a battery grip and do some modification on the battery grip,
using additional battery will be much easy solution.

Looks like there's an AC adapter ACK-E8

if you search this page under 'power source', it mentions this ACK-E8 as well.
Not sure why you'd need so much power though. Fully charged battery not enough? :dunno:
