I achelli wore my army goretex jacket out twice this week to deal with the rain, even though i look like a fashion disaster -_-

ANYWAY

It has troubled me... but do any of you share your umbrellas with strangers who are waiting at the crossing, getting drenched?

I personally do, regardless whether XMM or auntie or uncle, local or foreigner :bsmilie:

For those who don't... why not?

i pick and choose. pretty girls = share. others = pretend no see.

no just kidding. most of the time, people who don't have umbrella and run are those who are running late. those who wait it out tend to have enough time really.

i'll normally share with those who look like they can't afford to get drenched. kids, pregnant ladies, elderly.

I'd have sold my brolly away. :bsmilie: :bsmilie:

Real man dun carry umbrella

Went to collect some thing after night shift on monday morning. As sunday night is raining, I got my umbrella (this word, been learning to spell as I hardly use, haha!) with me. Went to collection area and have my breakfast, as was having, I saw a woman without umbrella. Oh yes, my chance to know a woman, heh heh! Out of sudden, another guy also stand there. Alamak! how!? He also no umbrella. In the end, I also just go ahead without asking either of them. Unless there isn't anyone or area is remoted, I will help else forget it. Wait that woman think I want to "molest" her as got another man without umbrella too. haha!

It has been years since I last brought an umbrella out.

Be a Man, do the right thing
tell the man that you will shelter her first and come back to help him, you will never know that them man might say thank you but please go ahead and don't bother about him,
and the lady will think you are such a gentleman and give you her number or email, you will never know.

you should throw away ur umbrella in front of her and say: let's run together!!! let's have fun!!!

lol thanks for all the hilarious responses!

but honestly i think this is one of those little things worth starting a mini-campaign for... something that will warm people's hearts during this rainy festive season.

..... of course alternatively could start a REAL MEN DONCH CARRY UMBRELLA campaign :bsmilie:

I normally don't carry umbrella when I go out. But there have been (I think) once or twice that I ended in (somewhat) embarrassment... I tried offering to the nearest person beside me before I opened the umbrella. I was looked upon in shock and was like "no no, don't want" with hands shaking n giving me that scared-look :O

I'd sometimes try to strike a conversation with strangers when I feel like it (be it guy or gal) and mostly I got negative responses with frowns and thinking "this guy siao ah?" :O

Once bitten twice shy... my experiences haven't been good
