Good deals on Pentax Q ...

Just found out that Pentax Q prices have dropped to $730 w/ single lens kit, and $970 for dual lens kit. A very good option to shoot the moon or birds if you don't want to spend too much money on super tele lenses ;p

SLRR and OP all have the same deal for now. I'd love to try the FishEye though ...

It's pretty good deal already, considering some p&s cameras already cost as much if not more

And the little Q performed pretty well even compared w/ the new Nikon 1:

I tried the Nikon 1 at the recent Sitex. Found the images very noisy in the exhibition hall even at ISO 800. That would be due to the small premium PnS sensor. In this respect, I think the Pentax Q offers better value money instead.

There are a few lenses available already, don't really know how Pentax would make more lenses for this system. But it's a fun camera, I think the existing lenses should be sufficient for most people.

Get the single lens kit, and a PK to Q mount adapter, you'd be able to use all your PK lenses on the cute little Q

SAving up for it. But then, cannot get a new DSLR as I am also keeping money aside for it. My K7 has gone to about 90k shutter count

Use a software like PhotoMe for the last photo taken and you will get your shutter count

Think the price have move up a bit . SLRR quoted $996 while OP quoted $1139 for the dual lens kit. All price quoted on cash payment terms only.

Nope. Compared to the earlier price stated at $970, in fact it has gone up. Price is now cheapest at $996 for the dual lens kit. Not sure if SLRR and the shops in funan is negotiable on it's price?
