Dec 2011 Outing -- suggestions ...

Hi All,

It's holiday season, let's have some shooting fun again. Please tell us your suggestions for this coming outing. Sorry date has to be 17 Dec 'cause I won't be able to make it on 4th or 10th, and 24th is X'mas eve ...

It rains pretty much every afternoon nowadays, but morning always good weather. I guess we better go for a morning outing.

Here are a few suggestions:
1. Morning sunrise at Changi Beach, then Pulau Ubin for some exercise.
2. Sunrise at some other places (suggestions?).
3. Macros at Botanic Garden (the new Healing Garden is a pretty nice place to start, and it's near the visitor center) in the morning.

Sunrise is always good for me .

Boss if we going changi beach , I suggest changi cp6

The previous beach we went earlier this yr just got too limited foreground for a big group like us

I try to bring along "little simon" and "mrs simon" along to ubin this round

My suggestion for itinerary

Easy sunrise (Esplanade). So much easier for everyone to reach the place by 6.30-6.45am.
1 hr Kopi/Breakfast session
Botanical gardens (nature and macros) or Orchard Rd (streets)

CP6 will also be hard if there is a large group, you might end up getting in each other's frames...

Esplanade not so bad, can spread out to shoot Merlion, Shenton Way, etc. Alternatively Gardens by the Bay? Not so convenient though, and you will not be catching the colors, only the light.

I just entered the Pentax family and going to join you guys this time. Will definitely go if morning esplanade, followed by botanic garden. Want to learn some techniques on macro, especially on lighting.
