seems like people think it's an effective place to kill themselves.

Unfortunately, prices still won't drop. HDB prices are immune to anything and everything.

I don't mean to turn this into a political issue, but can anyone tell me if Bedok Reservoir is in an opposition ward?

drop a few dead bodies into the water tank, get a few ppl hop off the hdb. or send a few others to swim in the reservoir......

Somebody committed suicide and all people could think of is how it affects property price and quality of water.

dun think so... the only "key" wards i know are aljunied, potong pasir and houkang... so lets just leave it as this 3 for now. even then its arguable...

Oh ok, thanks. I just thought that it seems weird the govt still allow the press to continue publishing these incidents, knowing full well they are copycat suicides and will likely induce more. I remember there was a suicide at a new big blue govt building in the Buona Vista area, and it didn't make the news. This was at a time when the press decided to stop making mrt suicides into major news.

It could be. LTK is MP for Aljunied GRC, Bedok Reservoir – Punggol Division.

The absence of MRT suicide news could be due to the installation of the platform barriers, nothing to do with the press.

I was referring to a time before the barriers were up. There were still suicides reported, but it only occupied a small column deep in the papers, unlike the full-page reporting of the earlier suicides.

LOL. it's surprising.

singaporeans can turn any mundane talk into political talk and diss the ruling party. thread should be closed! :bsmilie:

ok ok, it was just a random thought that occurred to me. Lets all stop and return to the suicides. :bsmilie:
