Yeah ... for about 6000 HKD with leather case.

Do those sold in Hong Kong have International warranty? Couldn't find information on the Hong Kong Camera Gears Shopping Guide thread.

Yes. International warranty.

Cool. Tempted to make a trip to Hk ..

Hmm...when oh when coming to Singapore?

Yes. International warranty.

That's great news, thanks! Hopefully prices in Singapore will be released soon so I can compare them with prices in Hong Kong before my trip there next week.

6000 hk dollars is practically S$1000 unless you claim a bigger tax rebate at the airport? That's still too pricey to get that retro look. But with the mirrorless landscape heating up, I am betting that "entry" price point for most cameras in this category will fall to around $700 within a year. But the camera does look chio..:)

There's no tax rebate refund in HK as goods and services are not subject to gst or vat.

Alternative is to buy from Amazon at usd599 which works out to be less than s$850 including shipping and gst.

Hong Kong no GST. That is why u are considered as Asian shopping paradise.... not here.

Price of the cam should be about S$800. The bundle is with the leather case etc.

Recommended pricing is $999 locally. Street price as $800 plus as you guys guessed. Coming mid November =)

X100 was damn difficult to get and very high price when launched due to japan earthquake. 8months later, price has at least dropped at least 20% and can see it everywhere including b&s. Too bad the initial hype has been marred by operations quirks of it.

Now come x10, full of hype and retro feel makes everyone excited. Now there are no earthquakes, competion is so intense. It makes no sense to be early adoptor and pay for hefty price for a p&s (and its not compact as well)

I will probably wait for few months for the dust to settle down and see whats up with other makers. Probably x200 will be announced by then and price of x10 would have fallen to a more sensible range.

I would rather get a GF3x instead for the same price.

Coooll....
I can understand what it's saying.
To sum up :) MUST BUY! MUST USE! MUST OWN IT!

If we think that it is 'soft' then it exhibits the same as x100's F2 macro shot. I saw a lady Japanese quote that it is a design of the lens that causes this unique characteristics and is not a lack of sharpness. Well, everyone has their own interpretation. I like it because it gives a dreamy look but I much prefer F4 definitely.

In any case, the sample pictures if taken by someone who obviously know what they are doing and not time pressed, then this is a good set to base judgment on. Of course, there are other websites to compare with so one can make a good wise decision.

I emailed FujiFilm HQ and they said general availability will be at mid Nov at a RRP of $999.... *sweat*...
