Hi Just to check which lens is better? Just got my D7000 kit, and not sure if I should upgrade to 18-200mm.

in comparison to IQ. Should I sell my kits lens for 18-200 lens OR keep my kits and buy a 55-200mm VR lens?

I am more concern to IQ and bokeh. Understand that I am not into the pro 17-55mm lens.

If u said u dun really like photography, u shouldn't spend too much effort comparing anymore. A better lens will not improve your photography. You should rethink over if photography is an impulse interest or not.

my interest of photography may not be any way in comparison to yours. But since I have bought my gadgets, is there any wrongdoings if I asked which lens is better? To you, you may take photos every day, but to me perhaps once a month. But I am still taking photos rite?

I'm saying this is becos of what u said in another thread. You said what u had is like white elephant. I'm just advising u to think over. If u dun like to hear this, I'm wont't say anymore.

I would think tat keep your kit lens and get 55-200mm will be a better choice

1) 18-55 and 55-200 VR
2) 18-200 VR

for both options u r considering, their IQ are about the same...not outstanding but acceptable for most people. 18-200 has more distortion than 18-55 and 55-200. however, 18-200 is a very convenience lens, so it's up to u whether u wan to spend 1k juz for this comvenience (and better build quality). bokeh are quite poor for both the options though.

I supposed e new 18-200vr2 is better.

the 18-105 is the better lens interm of iq. built wise it lost

18-105 has much better image quality based on MTF50 figures, and the 18-200 has terrible distortion.

18-105 is a much better lens, unless you need the unmatched versatality of an 18-200.

Any one can share your experience on 16-85nm?

It is good lens
