Hi guys,

This is my first time posting and sharing some of my photos. Just started photography 3 months ago, these are some black and white shots taken with my d5100. I enjoy taking architecture and capturing beauty in everyday life, things that are often overlooked and how they can be interesting when viewed from a different perspective (or at least I try).

C&C are most welcomed. Enjoy!:)

Cheers,
Darren.

quite nice, i like the headless bird. :)

B&W processing needs a bit more work, too much grey sinks the mood. It needs a bit more white/highlights. Shadow areas are nailed, but white with no detail -> white with little detail, these zones need to be taken care of. You need the complete tonal range to best show off your photographs. Dodge & burn tool is a great friend.

Thanks for the comments. I'll pay more attention to the white areas next time. Anyway, here are some other shots I've taken.
