Redhill
... about gangs in Singapore.

Any of you here encounter any gang problems recently in your part of Singapore?

Someone stare at you? Then ask you "Kua simi kua?"

I'm assuming that the local media does not report all gang related activities.

I stay at redhill so all the old gangsters are only playing chess at the market, no problems... very peaceful :bsmilie:

Nowadays they are using ipad2 and send Twitter/Facebook messages to harass their victims

doesn't that make you part of the gang violence problem?

if i see photographer walking around with parang i'll know it's you liao :bsmilie:

so instead of "kua simi kua" ... on facebook you get "poke simi poke"

haha. Girl with Camera....and Parang

Capturing your moments when you wave with ur parang?

If it was 20yrs ago, at my area, the "kua simi kua" problem was quite bad, recently, I choose to ignore if any...

last time I stay near ku chye ba and lorong tai seng, these areas are become industrial park now,

those gangsters are either selling salted eggs or in the old folk homes now.

The old gangsters in my place normally fight among themselves with Taichi in the morning.

Very slow motion. They are not going to hurt anyone.

In the afternoon they watch "Chow Yuen Fatt" gangster movies to remind them of their heydays.

At night they are generally in bed by 8pm.

Put ur camera to high speed then if they point finger at u with a angry face then u shoot them, hand them to police ( if u can outrun them) .. problem solved =)
violent canot solve problem but camera can =)

gangster how to earn money now??? collect protection money from who????

dun think they collect money from photographers, they will use photographers cameras to shoot XMM.

Protection money from photographers is $30 for 1/2 hour shoot.

If use tripods add another $20. :)

You seem to know the rates VERY well hor....not sure if you own one of the places/area

Those so called "gangsters" in Singapore are nothing but punks wannabe.

The largest worldwide supplier of recreational drugs in the '70s and '80s was actually run by a Singaporean syndicate in Amsterdam.

Ah Kong.
