1. in what area is critique to be sought?
- Composition, detail and contrast.

2. what one hopes to achieve with the piece of work?
- To improve my composition to create a proper and recognized landscape pic from others.

3. under what circumstance is the picture taken? (physical conditions/emotions)
- Practices shot for landscape improvement

4. what the critique seeker personally thinks of the picture
- I was using 16mm focal length to create a wide landscape for the shot which include the stone as the foreground object to create a depth to the sunset. i m not sure if the inclusion of the many stones causing distraction to the viewer and also the cutting off the stone at the broader could spoil the pic.

Thanks in advance for CC.

Since no one want to start.. I will just give my two-cents worth.

Guess this is the Sunset on the 7th Jun.. A pretty nice sunset for that day.. Punngol Beach is a good place for Sunset.. maybe you need to think about what you want to achieve and why you went to Punngol Beach (other than it is near your home - if that is one reason)... :)

If it is a usual sunset (without clouds), it would have been better to shoot a bit later.. with a longer exposure.. you will get the whole scene more evenly lighted.. For that day, the sun would have gone hiding if you shoot at a later time.. So what can you do...

1. Use your PP skills to bring up the dark area..
2. Invest in GND filter to help block out a bit of the sun...

If the round rocks are what you after.. you are right to use them as foreground.. but I dont think you have added much "depth" as your rocks are quite "far" away... I think may work better if you use less rocks and zoom in on 1-2 rocks to increase your feeling of depth..

OK.. end of my 2-cents ... Hope it is Useful :)

How did you get there? i Suppose there are no buses right?

There is SBS bus on 82 if i m not wrong which can take u to punggol beach. Btw, i drove there.

Maybe you can slow down the wave by using ND... shadow on the rocks distract viewing focus on the sunset
