by your/my  friend from CS/FB

Why You're Important to Clubsnap

Forum life is like one's real life..... its got its ups and downs.... sometimes fly.... sometimes flat ...... its all the little pokes that get the whole ball rolling both up and down .... ..............

Could it be that we have MATURED, gotten beyond buy equipment, reached HIGHER levels of competence , become more EXPERIENCED in evaluating SERIOUS works , KNOWING what makes a stronger image ?

CS is about 145,000 strong today

MANY are new to photography, keen to improve, MANY are 'growing' day by day.... And many are young people

Almost EVERYTHING is exciting to them.... Even crappy photos are WoWZZ to them.

They will ALWAYS be fortunate because there are a TON of more experienced photographers to learn from...

You HAVE been there before, once a newbie ... Me too

As the months and years pass.... we add on experiences, knowledge, MATURE and grow ... Who we learn from also gets fewer ...

That's life...the pool of experienced photographers DO grow BUT much more gradually and slowly because MANY will not want to grow after different stages

So many of us old birds find ourselves at this point... Say that Photo standards drop la, not exciting anymore la etc etc etc

NOTHING has changed except ..u ..

YOU have grown up... YOUR EYE is more MATURE about many things u have reached HIGHER levels/ standards

ALL 143,000 newbies and intermediates are tracking your comments, your opinions , YOUR WORKS

Many young people LOOK UP to you with respect to learn

As you mature and grow, CS will become less and less useful to you for learning .... It now becomes your HOME ...its less your SCHOOL

EACH contribution or comment from you in CS is worth so much.... 100 or 10'000 newbies will not have your REAL WORLD experiences

Your role have changed in CS . You are now sharing and MENTORING

And the group of you important people is growing but small And will always be exclusive BECAUSE membership to this group is by blood sweat tears hardship and personal Sacrifice

:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Exactly.

The photographic community in Clubsnap has primarily been full of enthusiasts and newbies, which obviously means the level of discussions and photos shared will generally be at this level.

If we want the community to grow and mature, we have to participate and contribute to its growth!

Support :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Salute to my friend who wrote this...!!!

Take all you can from CS... But please share back some...

Well said bro (ed) ! All so true!

There will be some also that stand at the side and criticize and say bad things to others who are trying. But yet they do nothing, and share little.

The most important part of growing in any hobby or passion is to share that passion. The ability to see past oneself. Only when there is no self, then there is one world, and one spirit. Only then you can merge with Life itself.

That, my friends, is the Spirit of photography, because photography captures life, and the spirit of photography is nothing more than the Spirit of Life itself.

The more you give, the more you receive.

And like what bro Tung told me once and I will always remember. Everyone, no matter who, has something to offer. The only thing is whether you have the heart to hear, listen and receive.

BTW bro Tung, have to good trip ahead. I have been too busy these couple of weeks prior to my own coming trip. Shoot many many pics and share. ;) And same to you bro BananaD

Many leave because for the same reason, and it is a open secret.

Too many self high wannabes masters. To some, photography is just a social activities, some even just use it to gain popularilty to fill the gap of their sad life.

The photo standard in CS is getting bad to worst, and self proclaim master are popping up everyday, most even don't understand the basic in photography.

Those whatever master's photo are just normal, comments they give are shallow, many even just wrong info without realizing it.

No helping in CS doesn't mean not helping in photography society, try looking beyond from here, many did and never return, many don't dare and prefer to be the king toad of the well.

But saying so much, different forum is cater for different people.

Salute to those helping up silencely in the photography world, they do it merely for love and passion.

Well said.

More than often we need to look at ourselves often. It is easy to criticize others but most of the times we do not see the planks in our own eyes and start looking for sawdust in other people's eyes.

It is more important to know how to live life as a upright person than anything. And constant check ourselves lest we become the very monsters we think others are.

In the end, it is our actions that define us.

Yes, we all use print screen. It is amazing indeed.

We should do everything with honor. Even when dealing with manufacturer service centers.

It is important too look in the mirror and question our own actions from time to time.

And don't do things to others you wouldn't want done unto you.

Well, lets see. Clubsnap membership statistic stated that of the 146,883 registered members, only 17,612 are active as of this posting.

Of these 17,612, perhaps 1/10 are advertisers, unauthorised traders and workshop/shoot organisers with the other 5/10 consisting of clone accounts, sock puppets and XMM gawkers. That leave just about 7045 active members actually contributing something meaningful here. :bsmilie:

Are you also counting the vampires, wondering souls, unseen hands and cyber zombies lurking in CS? :bsmilie:

thanks to all the seniors who have been an inspiration and have had the patience to mentor :D

really mean it from the bottom of my heart

(unfortunately...i don't think CS got long service award and prizes haha)

For the past 6 months since I started photography and joined CS, I've learned alot from everyone here, whether its from seniors or from newbies. All I want to say is that there're lots of things to learn from everyone. And I want to thank everyone for their contributions, whether they are in images or in writings

 Keep the spirit of sharing burning!
