Bought this 2 days ago from the Store, can I go back and change ? It looks like a defect. Both straps are in relaxed non strained manner and the other is higer than the other ! realised this when I scrutinised it at home.

Small problem but I feel very queasy uneasy whenever I look/ carry it.

Pls advice ! :(

Just bring it back to the store for an exchange.

Both straps don't seem to be equal. Check the symmetry above your marking. Doesn't match.

You bought from TK Foto?
They are very gentlemanly. Myself and several of my friends have gotten defective products exchanged with them.
They are a good business people in that respect and I would give them a big thumbsup for that.

Thanks for the advice guys, will go back and exchange.yes, tk photo

Does it affect the comfort though? From your photo, it looks like the straps were attached at the same height, so I assume it's purely a cosmetic defect?

I have a TT streetwalker, and so far have not paid attention to the alignment of the straps :)
Once you wear it on your shoulders, it would be kinda hard to detect that the straps are not aligned :)

Bro, look at the bottom of the straps, it is shorter on one side. My guess is they sew on the strap deeper on the top. Actually agree that it probably have no bearing on real usage. But TS bought new, if got defect, sure will not feel right.

TK will exchanged without questions asked once they see the problem.

dunno if my eyes deceiving me, but it looks like the 2 straps are mounted (on both ends) at approximately the same heights.

therefore I'm guessing that the comfort/functionality is not affected.
Agree that TK should have no issue with the exchange :) The stitching of that neoprene 'pocket' on either strap is obviously at a different height.

let us know the outcome...

Ya... seems there is a difference... probably it is due to manufacturing process, it is very difficult to get both to be sewed at the correct length and same position. You can try ask for a change. I believe it may be due to your uneven shoulder height and improper strap adjustment. Try full load your bag and carry it, then adjust your straps till you feel comfortable. Cheers

Also not that you have the buckles at the bottom in a different way - one loops, the other folds.

But this looks like normal sowing inaccuracies, would not bug me really, I don't stare at my camera bags at home. ;)

Actually, if i was on the factory floor doing QC, this one would not have left the factory as an QC ok piece.

I checked my TTSW and the straps align similarly to knpan's.
The straps are exactly the same length (thus there is no compromise in terms of comfort or usage), but the little neoprene 'pocket' and the blue thingy are at slightly different heights.
I assume that the straps are made individually (different lines) and then sewn onto the bags during final assembly.

Though it looks kinda bad when shown as in the photo, I think I'll just live with it, since functionally it makes no difference to me. Once the bag is worn on the shoulders, spotting the misalignment is like playing Where's Wally... pretty hard to spot.

That is interesting. Hmmm.

guess i need to head home to see if it's the same with my Harddrive. it might not be a QC issue in the end then?

Ya, it might not.

i mean... the fact that it's not aligned is a deficiency in their production process. The precision isn't there.
But to me the camera back is mostly a functional item and not a decorative one, so I can live with the cosmetic imperfection. The straps are mounted in the correct places, so the bag is comfortable to wear, not lopsided or anything.

If it was a $2K Gucci camera bag, then I suppose I wouldn't tolerate imperfection

LOL. i'll check my bag tonight and see whether it's the same as TS'. unless of course, we do a collective complaint to ThinkTank and they tell us "we purposely did it"
