Hi All,

Am starting to look into the PP portion of my photography hence would like to know about a few of the " New " software ( At least to me )

Am taking the plunge to purchase the CS5 as when i surf around to look at the other options for pluggins, would like to know if they are worth while or not....thus hoping for some advise from the seniors here

1) I came across this Alien Bokeh? The tutorials seems wonderful but would like to know from those whom used this software on the pros and cons? Is it really powerful enough for you not to use lens like 85 f1.2 or is there a downside to it that you will still use the lens?

2) The CS5 Photo stitch really looks good. Can i know if its still possible to stitch if you are taking a evening long exposure shot? Given the consideration that the lighting changes very fast in the evening from blue to black skies?

Thks alot

for plugins, i really recommend Nik Software complete photoshop collection! do check it out.

I just went to check out the Nik software and i think i know what you meant but $$$$$$ WOW!!!

Maybe i consider buying them one by one and take it as installment wahahahah

Oh btw the HDR looks good too but its not in the collection series.....

one way is to get a fren who is either a student or working in an education institution, and buy it from bhphotovideo using the edu discount. you will need to email them an image of some edu id b4 they send u the serial keys. u save a fair bit but this is not an option if u are in the commercial line cos of the EULA.

and yeah.. the HDR Efex plugin rocks. there's an option to purchase with purchase for it, if u get the complete collection. mine was free cos i bought the complete collection 1wk before the HDR Efex plugin was launched.

1. Alien bokeh is similar to "Lens blur" in PS, with some additional 'useful' tweaks. Main challenge will be selecting objects on what to blur and focus. let say (85 f1.2) requires more fine selection of image which is time consuming.

Ah ha.... Looks like i have to start calling my long lost cousin whahaha..... Thanks alot for the info... i guess it will help me save a few bucks!! :)

Bro can I know what's the criteria for the student version? Secondary student can buy? What document do they need to produce? Thanks alot

Thks for the clarification bro. Just needed to understand why I should continue keeping my 1.2 with such wonderful software haha once I get the cs5 I decide to download the trail to try :)

you can either reply their email via an "xxx@edu.sg" account or just simply scan an identification from education institution. i just scan my name card

Can we exchange name card?? Haha just kidding. Thks for the clarification thks
