Does the auto focus beam from flash gun helps auto focus to be faster?

Does the auto focus beam from flash gun helps auto focus to be faster?

In a way yes... It helps the camera know what to lock on to faster, but the main benefit is it helps focus in low light.

meaning if a lens is weak in low light....and focus slower....with the help of flash gun'a beam, the lens will lock on faster?.....

if a lens is slow in focusing, does flash gun "helps the lens to focus faster"?

No, lenses don't focus slower or faster in weak light - the main difference is that not enough light is reaching your camera's AF sensors. So this determines if your camera body knows when it's in focus or how it has to adjust the focus. The flash beam provides extra light that the camera can lock onto faster.

so it helps to reduce the "hunting" of lens in low light when difficult to lock on?

yup. :)
