Since I've grown an interest in photography and hoping to upgrade from my Lumix PnS, I did research on what DSLR i could possibly get with my inexperience with DSLR photography and stumbled upon the PENTAX K-X. I've looking around and noticed that Amazon sells the Pentax K-x cheaper (i think).

It costs around US$536(including shipping), which is equal to S$682.

So... is it a good idea to buy from Amazon?

(looking to get my 1st DSLR by the end of the year since I have to save $$$)

Don't forget to factor in the 7% GST...

I'm not sure about Pentax, but if you want to buy from Amazon make sure they include international warranty

oh damn!!! hahaah haven't looked into that. Thanks for the warning!! :D

i think i'll just buy from a local shop... much safer and much less hassle for me. :D

I dont recall 7% GST on any of my online oversea purchases as they are not local companies.
as for credit card, transaction fee is paid by the merchant not buyer. if you clear the credit balance before due date there is no interest.

Any purchase that, combined with shipping charges, exceeds a value of 400 SGD is subject to 7% GST.
