Hi All,

Im Currently Using a Manfrotto XPROB190 with a Ballhead. It is retardedly heavy and very unrealistic for me to lug it around places for me to shoot while traveling.

I dont really know much about other tripods hence asking for your valuable opinion here.

Im searching for something that is light and compact but would not be affected too much when the heavy wind blows while taking long exposure shot. However my budget is only around 200tops. Therefore im not looking at Gitzo or smth like that.

Kindly please give me your recommendation guys. Thanks!

Try Sirui/Benro/Fotopro/Fancier/Jusino or do a search for 'tripods' here...

any like specific model / so that anyone would really recommend?

Without knowing your other needs like:

height
weight
size when folded
etc

its very hard to recommend one...

You may want to try the Fotopro C4c model selling for 170 or the C5i selling at $230. I got the C5i recently and it is so much lighter and compact than my old Manfrotto190:)

Or you can try Sirui- T1004X/T1005X. I'm using the T1004X, both sells at $160 with the G10 ballhead

T1004X -> abt 40cm min, 4 section (http://www.siruiusa.com/tripods/t1004x.htm)
T1005X -> abt 35cm min, 5 section (http://www.siruiusa.com/tripods/t1005x.htm)

you will see 2 length of the tripod in the website. the shorter one mean that the ballhead is in between the legs, the longer one is where the ballhead is exposed. both are < 1.5kg (IIRC)

TKFoto is selling these tripod: http://www.facebook.com/tkfoto?v=app_6009294086

Hope this helps

Yes, the 190xprob is heavy (people in USA say it is lightweight... :bsmilie:). But it is a very very stable tripod. It was my main tripod for the longest time, till my needs forced me to replace it. In SG, I will be using the Manfrotto (prior to selling it). For travelling, I am using the Sirui T1004x. Cheap and good, so I will not cry if I lose it or break it while on the road.

190cx3 lol. 1.3kg, carbon fiber so lighter, but lack the center rod features of the pro ver. bought at 315 at cathay photo promo.
