1. in what area is critique to be sought?
composition, post processing and overall feel of the photo

2. what one hopes to achieve with the piece of work?
to create a mysterious misty feeling..

3. under what circumstance is the picture taken? (physical conditions/emotions)
the weather was misty and thus the color produced not that spectacular.. so I converted to Black and white.

4. what the critique seeker personally thinks of the picture
I personally like this photo alot, but I feel that something is missing somewhere.

Many thanks for those who contribute the critique :)

I thought the vignette is very unnecessary. Otherwise, I like it too...

Btw, why V? Looks like YI to me...

There is some dirty patch at the center right side. What is it? it's not clear though but still visible. Overall i think this picture is great. Just your Composition needs more "Creativity". Try not to put it in the center.

I think the picture is fine. I like the subject and the distant one forming an invisible line.

Looks like "Yi" to me...

I also feel something's missing, but dunno how to describe... maybe the attention to the object? (bg's hill kinda throw my attention away for a sec)

vignetting heavy on the right side..
patchy stuff as sgdevilzz mentioned.. left over PPed? :dunno:

i like the subject, i feel this photo has potential to be a minimalist photo.. if u can do away with the background ..

I suspect this is a cropped image from the bottom right corner of the frame judging the vignette and the reflection. Can TS share what is the F-stop is this image taken?

thanks.. yes it is a cropped image from right side of frame. maybe that explains the heavy vignetting on the right.. also I just put ND110 in front of lens protector..

f stop is f/8..

maybe putting balanced vignette on the left and right will make better image?

It's a pity that the water in the foreground is not deep enough, so can see through to the dirt. I felt it killed a bit of the minimalistic feel to the image.
