Hi, I have a photoshoot (yukata themed) coming up but the problem is chinese gardens, japanese gardens are overly used which makes it too generic/common. I would like something more unique more out of the blue. Please advise. Thank you :embrass::embrass:

Lim Chu Kang Chinese cemetery if you are looking for out of the blue and into this kind of mood, not sure if your model will agree to go there but it will definitely be different;)

hahaha.. Thanks for advise bro.. but even if the model agree, I myself do not want to go there not because i'm afraid but because i can see *cough cough* 'our brothers'

Explore both gardens and see if you can think of something that stands out from the rest.
E.g. using of props like those traditional jap umbrellas, etc.

Otherwise you might want to try places like botanical gardens like areas with bamboos, or even some nicely decorated Jap restaurants (buy a couple of sushi to eat too).

Haha, best not to go if like that. How about a Jap martial arts dojo? Quite a few members here can give you advice on that, one of them would be SurrealDreamWalker.

Ah... good idea. But i dont know anyone here

you might want to research what the yukata represents and why the Japanese wear it before deciding on WHERE to shoot.

if you have a setting that doesn't gel with the theme, then it just messes it all up
I know the backgrounds of it. so i'm fine. But thanks anyway

ahh gomen~ne kudasai

try something new? i think a beach scene like those in manga would look nice. especially if it's a couple shot in the evening.

adding in. East Coast park has some of those rustic-looking benches that'd go well with the beach-side manga theme.

no need add kudasai behind "gomen ne" hahaha.. "gomen ne kudasai" its like "sorry please" (word for word translation) :bsmilie::bsmilie::bsmilie: "gomen" for more casual tone or "gomenasai" or for more formal. hmmm.. not bad suggestion XD very anime-ish.. :D:D
