Tiny little fur and 1mm spots inside my lens - help!

Recently i realised there is one Tiny little fur and few 1mm spots inside my IS lens internally!
Anyone can advise where can i send my lens for cleaning or anyway to DIY???

zoom lens or any lens with moving part when focusing is prone to getting dust on shoots unless u air sealed ur cam+lens everytime u use them :bsmilie:
like the other said if it don't show up in the pic leave it alone, u'll just get it(dust) back in matters of months anyway

That's why we have dry boxes and dry cabinets.

But FYI, fungal spores are everywhere and are invisible to the human eye. So while dust may carry spores, you probably already have 100x as much in the lens *already* that almost no cleaning on earth (unless it's a full, intense UV-light treatment) will kill. Then, the next time you use your lens, they'll just get sucked in anyway.

yeah..i got this fur like thingy even though im using dry cabinet..
but..so far shots taken does not affect it..

and i don't think dust can grow into fungus.. if not, all those dusty lenses will already have fungus by now.. anyway, fungus spores are everywhere.. it is the matter of whether they will grow or not.. for me, if it doesn't get into the way of my photos, i would just leave it.. but it is different with fungus.. for dust, it is inevitable, and i will definitely leave it.. not worth cleaning some tiny dust that doesn't show up in my photos and will come back after cleaning..

i would worry more about my photos than dust in my lenses..

just bring your lenses out and use them frequently. sunlight(UV rays) kills fungus.

abit of dust/fur/dirt won't affect the IQ... if you want to clean, i rather you accumulate a lens choke full of dust and get it clean - save money

What is unclear in Rashkae's post?
Secondly: dust in the lens will not even be visible in the viewfinder, what irritates you? Or do you see the spots in the viewfinder when taking the picture? In this case, the dust is on the focusing screen, not in the lens. Focusing screens are very likely to collect dust, they are not sealed. Just having the camera in your bag is enough to get dust to the viewfinder. You could get a blower and try to blow ii off, but don't touch the screen! Alternatively, see advice from Rashkae.

The dust shows up in your viewfinder, but not in your pictures. So, do you think the dust is in your lens or your viewfinder?

if you're gonna be so obsessed with dust on your camera, you should just leave your camera permanently with Canon Service Centre and not use it to take photos

but I'm curious why you describe it as 'little fur'...
