The AF system used by MIL and DSLR are different. The DSLR employed a system known as phase-detection while MIL and compacts uses contrast-measurement. Compared to phase-detection, contrast measurement is slower.

;) thanks for the information. seems cheem. Sony NEX sales in Singapore is moving up

Ur welcome. Let's hope that Sony will come up with more E-mount lenses of higher quality this year to repay their users. I heard that among the lineup is a CZ lens :D.

Don't BBB! Use your existing equipment first, they are pretty darn good already. CZ lenses are very expensive, don't just keep buying and wasting money.

agree. cant la i can ask but no resources to buy. ahahahaha;);)

Thom Hogan (http://www.bythom.com/) thinks that the rise in mirrorless sales are due to people "sampling" more than "adopting". People are trying too see if they are really that good, hence the rise in sales. Once things settle, some people will "adopt" mirrorless systems and some will ditch them. Thom Hogan also thinks that mirrorless cameras do not replace cameras, but they replace compacts.
he's also the guy who mentions (in his Jan 26 and 27 articles) that if Nikon sticks a D3s sensor in a small "mirrorless" body and get contrast AF right, they would have an instant winner... something which should be a slam dunk in anyone's book (provided the price is right, of course)... would really wonder if "samplers" would replace DSLRs with something equiped thus...

Dont think it makes commercial sense for manufacturers to do so.

Agree, i dont think the manufacturers would want to kill a mature mkt segment of DSLR using MIL. But as many commented MIL is a new segment for new comers to photography to try.

In the end, MIL models still need to fit a large glass onto the MIL mount in order to achieve good photos
