As an 'insider' and nature/photo lover,I can assure all that the plants/flowers are always being watered and replaced when necessary,especially in the wee wee mornings(5 am) everyday when it is already set-up and if seriously damaged by over-excited guests,some urgent repairs will be done.
Do take note for phototaking,to avoid the thousands thronging thru,estimated at about 50k for the first 4 days,do avoid these days or come in on the first bus/train in or by private vehicle.

Yes it will be lighted as it should open till at least 9pm.But do not expect the lightings to really showcase the your shots.Plants/flowers shots are ideally for day shootings,if going by the norm.
And, for added info,the new Sentosa Boardwalk,the link from Vivocity to Sentosa just alongside the existing bridge,will be open this Saturday, 29th Jan.
Should be very nice for night scenes photography.Dont miss.
Public should be able to stroll through daily till night for free without actually entering Sentosa if you dont want to pay the entrance fee.
And there will be flowers, plants as well lining this new Boardwalk in conjunction with Sentosa Flowers 2011.

yup.
from my past experience, yes.
as these flowers are place even before the chinese new year. sometime due to our hot weather they get dried up very fast.
so i think it will be good we go during the 1st 2 days.

Well, depends on the weather.
I intend to go either on the 3rd or 4th, as early as possible unless the sky pours like it is doing now.

True, but since I don't have much social life so it's ok.
But it depends, don't think the weather is going to let up so easily.
