What's the price like for this baby in Singapore? Here in Malaysia, it's RRP at RM1799.00 with a 8GB memory SD.

Singapore RRP is S$749 with 8G SD card. Street price about $720.

That pretty high after conversion it's about RM1711.

The street prices here in KL with screen protector and 8Gb memory is around RM1699. Heard some places are offering as low as RM1599.

Apart from Harvey Norman, any other places offer extended warranty?
I am thinking it might make more sense to pay extra for the extended warranty and peace of mind for fear of the camera breaking down after 1 year! Happened to me with my 2 previous cameras! And DVD player. And LCD TV. And . .
I think HN is offering $675 + $136 for total 5 years warranty.

I just brought my DVD recorder to repair as still 4th year on the extended wrty, the extra coverage is good for highly usage item.

Agreed. Probably make sense for high value or price items or things do not get updated so often. Maybe for cameras would be mid-higher end dslrs or expensive lenses.

Pns? I guess it gets updated almost every year now or some even within 6months.

Singapore have a higher turnover in sales than in M'sia. So was hopeing for a better bargain as I will be in SG on the 15th. Anyway, got it juat a few hours ago. A shop offered me a bare bone set for RM1550.

Just bought this camera! I paid $6xx for it from Challenger! I won't reveal the actual price but I can tell you it is very much cheaper than the rest of the shops mentioned above! You have to call Challenger to find out, b'cos they might not offer the same price as mine to you? Sorry!

Yes, my package include one Sandisk 8G SD card. Anyway, you can buy Sandisk 8G SD card at $20.90(Giant) / $21.90(Fairprice Extra)

Challenger really did sell me XZ-1 at a very low price that is why I buy from them. If you are buying LX5, Parisilk KV offer very low price thats why I buy from them too. For Canon lens, go to DD Electronics! I'm just sharing all the good Lobang with you guys! I think you have mistaken my good intentions...

If I'm not wrong, white color is not available in Singapore at this moment? FYI, I bought the only set they carry in their stall today! very good price! thats why faster grab! ha! ha!
