Also note than the older non-vc version is sharper than the vc version.

That is a sensitive topic. Different people come up with different results and different conclusions.

I am happy with non-vc though.

Instead of creating a new thread, I'm reviving this.
Just got my HKG coll to get me the VC lens for S$615 and will be collecting today.

Anyway, I know that there are lots of talk on the reliability issues of this lens and as a newbie, I need help to check if there's any problem with my lens.
Yes, I could do a "search" and it will throw up lots of threads which will be quite time-consuming. While I am looking at them, if you have offer any quick guidance, that will be much appreciated. Thank you.
