1.In what area is critique to be sought?
I need critiques for the whole/overall photo.

2.What one hopes to achieve with the piece of work?
A nice waterscapes of the place.

3.Under what circumstance is the picture taken? (physical conditions/emotions)
This is after sunset. A very nice place to relax after work to lessen stress and feel the calmess of the water.

4.What the critique seeker personally thinks of the picture
Personally the picture is relaxing to the eyes and I like the post processing.

Nice place and sky, I can even see the stones under the clear water.
Composition wise, I would suggest to have the boat to the left of the picture and follow the rule of 1/3. I noticed that the horizon is titled.
Also, there is slight distraction - metal frame on the right-middle of the picture. Is there another boat on the right?
Overall, I like this picture.

just a little comment here: i think its a little too blue.

Hi,

Lovely shot at a really beautiful place... I really love the way the clearness of the water shows... I just noticed that the horizon is slightly slanted downwards on the left and the fact that the boat on the left is abruptly cropped off makes the otherwise great picture a little less perfect... Perhaps you could try cropping the pic differently and correcting the horizon tilt and repost? I'm sure lots of people here will love this shot... I definitely do, so good job! Cheers!

Thanks for the comment Bro. The blue was really emphasized after sunset:)

Thanks for the suggestion Bro, I would admit I have overlooked the horizon. I normally always checked the horizon if I shoot landscape but I really missed it. Anyway, I already tried to correct it and I hope I done it better.

About the metal frame you have sighted, I have not really realized it until you mentioned it. You have a very observant eyes Bro, thanks for that. By the way, I can't do anything of that metal frame (actually not really made of metal but made of plywood) because that is a part of the boat. It's the portable toilet ... hehe. This boat travel 1 to 3 hours going to the islands and they really need it:D

Thanks for dropping and for your comments.

Thanks BroNeurospark:)... As suggested, I have already corrected the tilted horizon you have sighted. I also totally removed the boat at the right side from the frame to minimized the distractions...

I am not here to give suggestion but just to say I like this picture. I am sure you are having a great time when you took it. Totally relax.

I like this picture, I love the reflections and the details but yeah, the composition can be improved, because this boat is like smacked in the middle with other distractions. The clarity of the water is nice, but I can notice some noise on the water, maybe you would want put this picture through some de-noise?

Overall nice picture!:)

Wow..nice Colour. Nice detail. Nice composision..if i may add something to make thia photo perfect is, i think it would be better if there is someone (the fisher) at the top of the boat do his daily ruotine or something, then this image will get more soul..

hard to fault for such a fantastic pc of shot. it might be nice to consider alternative angle (lower) or more of the skies to get that rule of third. wonder if the skies could b further enhance with HDRI.

just wondering that's all.

nice subject and colours. would prefer to have the main subject "pop" out more, so suggest increasing contrast to bring out the details and to give the subject more "depth".

I prefer to retain the blue, as it adds drama to the scene. No issues with the composition either. Main subject is the boat, additional boats gives context to the scene. Without them it doesn't give a clue to where you are. It'll be so 'easy' to shoot if the conditions were perfect with a single boat. I think there's more accomplishment to make a great photo in a busy scene.

I like it brighter, more contrasty with a bit of play with dodge & burn. slight USM too.
Very nice pic, one of the best in C&C for 2011
