Standing up to shocks and knocks

Hi guys,

I was wondering if my camera gear would stand up to minor shocks and knocks if I leave it in a padded bag under the following conditions

1. On the floor board/seat of a jeep on a safari/wild life reserves
2. In the front basket of a Mountain Bike or strapped to the back while going on a nature trail

So no worries with vibrations being transmitted to the cam body sensors and lens mechanisms right?

Having the gear strap to my body or a waist carrier not so practical or I would definitely do it...

actually the smaller but constant vibrations / shakings that you get from the floorboard might not be a very good place to test the endurance of your camera. esp when its a jeep with a metal floorboard and not a Mercedes with a cushioned flooring
But I am sure the having the camera in a proper padded bag on your bag is the safest option. front basket, just make sure u dont dump the camera out of the basket into the mud or rocks.
