I have been using this Nikon 60mm AF-S Micro lens with my D60 camera for about 1 year plus. I noticed that the lens couldn't auto focus sometimes. I can't remember when was this started because I thought it was ok so I just ignored it. Everytime when this situation happens, I just use manual focus to finish up my shot or I turn off the camera and switch it on back to take my photo, usually the auto focus would come back once I turn on the camera again. Recently I use the lens with my newly bought D7000, the problem is still there. The staff at the service centre checked my lens but he said he couldn't find any problem, he suggested to leave my lens there for maybe 2 weeks then he might be able to spot the problem. I heard it is normal for autofocus lens to 'behave' like this but I'm not an expert so I really don't know.... Does anyone here experience this kind of situation?

Do you mean that when you turn on the camera, you could Auto Focus.
But later in the middle of the shoot, the lens couldn't Auto Focus suddenly ? Or it is Focus Hunting ?

This is interesting case

Yup, it's like in the middle of shooting, it couldn't auto focus suddenly. Then I have to turn off the camera and turn it on again to continue shooting. It usually happens when I do close up shots.
