Thank you for your kind words Kwan!

Yes, most of my recent B+W are process with Silver Efex Pro from NikSW...

And if I have lots of time, I will convert it manual in PS with using color filters to get good balance of highlights and shadows while preserving the midtones....:)

...11 more days to end 2010...

...whats in your thought?...

thomas -

20 dec: love the composition, a bit left heavy but it's fine enough for me. the tree position with its arch towards the right helps this somewhat. also, the pier things in the background help to fill up the space somewhat. knowingly or unknowingly, a triangular composition is there, and that can be strong. great tones also. what i'm not so comfortable with is the weird inherent lighting present on the tree - either another timing is better, or you have used a gnd that causes some parts of the tree to be obscured in shadow, while others to be very bright.

23 dec: what a beautiful tree, love the central placement which works very well here, and i have a feeling i know where this is - punggol? but it could be anywhere. i find myself wishing for just a bit more space on top though.

Hello WK,

Thank you for taking time going through the last 2 piece of work.

Dec 20: it was taken around 7+ am and the light is got it way through the trees at my back and resulting light applicable on some part of the tree which is very heavy light in the middle of the tree and heavy shadow at top part.

The tide was nice on the day I did the shooting, but perhaps another visit to this place again in the evening with same tide level would be ideal to get balance lighting...

Also, am using Hoya NDx400 and it easily overexpose the area with light source. :) Been awhile I use NDx400, so might as well give is a try...

Dec23: Yes, you are right, It was taken in Punggol. Noted on the space on top but due to the tight frame just to get the middle tree in frame, I had to move pretty close to the tree to get this shot leaving a 50/50 option for composition...

Cheers and will take note on the comment.

Well appreciate and Merry Christmas!

Nice leading lines.

Will be my last comments in your APAD, but will still come in and view all your amazing photos. :)

The texture of the water really draws me in... and the lines are placed for very nice composition. You can probably tell I like it!

Thank you Leong and Andy for your visit and support throughout the year!

Its has been a great journey for 2010!
